Items:

Sentinel Needle: +10 Skill. A rare weapon utilized by Hornet. Its unique fighting style it so that few could possibly hope to wield this weapon effectively. When thrown by Hornet, it will return on the same turn. Base 100 Magic/Pierce-type damage.

Shaman Stone: Said to contain the knowledge of past generations of shaman. A charm originally found in the depths of Hallownest. Little is known about its origin, or whether there are more of them to be found. Regardless, it is an incredibly precious item. Boosts Magic-type damage by 50%, and this boost is doubled when used by a unit from Hallownest.

Spell Twister: A gift from the Pale King to worthy children of his royal family. Reflecting the desires of the Soul Sanctum for mastery over Soul, it improves the bearer’s ability to cast spells. Reduces cooldown of spells by 1 turn. Not much is known about this item currently, but it is likely very rare.

Bright Red Dress: +10 Agility. Surprisingly dazzling for someone so mysterious.

Abilities:

Thread Burst: Hornet Signature Ability. +20 Skill. Once every 4 (3) turns, this unit may release a 5 range burst of thread, dealing base 50 whip/magic/energy damage. Each unit calculates dodge chance separately. Costs 4 exp

Duelist: When this unit initiates an attack against another enemy who is using a melee weapon, they add +20 to their Agility and Skill. 3 exp

Extreme Evasion: +25 Agility. Attacks that always hit must calculate accuracy, but have +40 Hit chance. 5 exp

Hurl: This character may throw a weapon with all of their might. Calculates based on the Throw skill. This attack will deal double damage and have 1-2 range; however, you will have to retrieve the weapon from one of the adjacent spaces from the target. 2 exp

Lunge: This unit may spend its movement moving in a straight line to lunge at a unit with its weapon. It can use some of its movement to position itself into a place where it can move in a straight line, and then activate this ability. This attack deals 10 base damage for each space this unit moved to lunge plus 5% of this unit’s total health. 4 exp

Parry/Riposte: If this unit is attacked by a unit of the same size class or smaller using a melee weapon, and this unit has higher skill, they may attempt to parry the attack. They have a 50% chance to succeed. If they fail, they take the full damage without using their shield to defend. If they do succeed, they nullify the attack (and all subsequent attacks from that enemy), and attack with a guaranteed 2x damage hit. 5 exp

Perfect Strike: This unit may patiently wait to strike a foe. This strike will deal 3x the normal damage. This may not be used on special abilities or activated attacks. This 3x damaging strike must be chosen to activate before calculating whether or not you hit or miss. This ability may be used 3 times per battle. Costs 5 exp

Spike Terrain: This unit must take a turn to charge. On the next turn, the 4 spaces adjacent to this unit are filled with this terrain, and this does not count as the character’s action that turn. This terrain hurts any characters that walk on it. Spike terrain takes 10% of a characters HP for every turn they start in it. Spike terrain has a 30% chance to give a character who stands or moves through it a bleeding status. Flying or levitating characters are immune to spiky terrain. Walking through spike terrain requires 2 movement per tile. 4 exp

Swing: This unit may grapple to structures or characters who are two size classes larger than them if those objects are within three spaces of where they start/end their movement. Upon grabbing a structure, they may add 3 to their total movement, add +20 to their agility for the remainder of the turn, and they will ignore dangerous terrain. 2 exp
